Sweatpants, Hair Tied, Chillin’ with Makeup On
The world is really different right now. We used to get cute in hopes of running into a crush in between classes and now we are wearing Spongebob pajamas between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m? Nobody could have ever imagined trading in power suits and pumps for leggings and fuzzy slippers. Maybe you looked forward to the compliments you got from wearing your new fashionable fit, but I promise that not all hope is lost!
Our world has quickly become reliant on digital communication and just because you are in Zoom calls all day and using Facetime instead of face to face dates, doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t look and feel your best. We are firm believers in “When you look good, you feel good!” Below are some are some tips for how to feel great, look better, and translate your strong, beautiful, positive energy through a camera.
Maintain your Routine - Yes, that means wake up and shower! Although it is very tempting to grab your laptop and work from your bed all day. It is important that you maintain the same routine. Get up and work from your desk or kitchen table. It will prevent you from slipping into a lazy stupor.
Dress from the Waist Up - This is a cheat code! Maybe you don’t miss high waist pants digging into your stomach. Ditch the jeans and trousers for some more flexible material on bottom. Pair that with a nice blouse on top and BOOM, you are ready for that presentation.
Try Something New - Try out a new Fenty lip, what about a new hairstyle, or a different style dress. Switch it up! Don’t let your peers who refuse to turn their camera on dim your will to shine!
Take a Moment to Stretch - With us being less mobile and some gyms still being closed, our bodies are changing (and not for the better). Take at least 15 minutes a day to stretch or workout. Step away from the computer head to Youtube to look up some quick and easy workouts.
Catch the Sun - Go outside for a bit. Whether you take and long drive or a quick stroll down the block. Vitamin D (the sunny kind) is necessary and feeling those rays on your face will always be an automatic energy boost.
